NEC (National Economics Challenge): Emphasizes economic theory, primarily written exams, weak in practical application. Participation has surged in recent years, leading to intense competition.
Wharton KWHS: Extremely high threshold and difficulty; top students cluster, while average students often end up as "also-rans," consuming significant time and energy.
BPA: Combines theory and practice on dual tracks, covering business, finance, IT modeling, design, and more. It is the only business competition that balances "beginner-friendliness, high value, high award rates, and long-term adaptability." Its strong narrative potential makes it suitable for students with diverse talents.

III. BPA Advancement Pathway and Rules

The complete BPA advancement pathway is: Preliminary Round (Regional) → China Station (National Finals) → Global Station (only top performers from the S-Classic subjective group and the objective group can advance).

1. Preliminary Round to China Station Advancement Rules

Direct Advancement: Top 20% in each region and category advance directly.
Second-Round Advancement: Top 35% nationwide qualify for advancement.
Wildcard Advancement: Quotas are allocated at a ratio of 3:1 based on the number of participants per school.
Waitlist Advancement: Candidates may submit a Motivation Letter to apply for waitlist spots.

2. China Station to Global Station Advancement Rules

Gold Award Teams: Receive direct Global Station slots.
Silver Award Teams: Selectively awarded slots (approximately 25%).
Bronze Award Teams: Rarely qualify for Global Station.

Note: S-Pre and ML groups stop at China Station and cannot advance to the Global stage.

Preliminary Round: Overall award rate approximately 55%–60%.
- Individual Objective Group: Gold – top 5% | Silver – 5%–15% | Bronze – 15%–30%.

China Station: Award ratios remain controlled within the top 30% (Gold/Silver/Bronze).
Global Station: The overall advancement rate from China Station to Global Station is approximately 20%–27%.
