CBPA 2026 Season Theme
Driven by the twin forces of the "Joy Economy" and "Emotional Consumption," the "Pet Economy" has experienced explosive growth. Pets have evolved into integral "family members," becoming a pivotal force reshaping the landscape of the consumer market. In 2024, the scale of the pet consumption market exceeded 300.2 billion RMB, establishing a comprehensive ecosystem that spans food, medical services, and technology. Generation Z has emerged as the primary consumer demographic; bolstered by the "Silver Economy" (seniors) and the "Single Economy," they are driving a transformation in pet-rearing philosophies—shifting toward approaches that are more emotionally resonant, refined, and intelligent. Nevertheless, the industry still faces significant challenges, such as product homogenization and a lack of standardized regulations.
Based on this context, you are invited to design a company within the pet economy sector and present the project's appeal and feasibility to investors through a business roadshow. Your areas of exploration may include, but are not limited to: "Pets x Quality Living" (e.g., pet food, supplies, healthcare, services); "Pets x Cross-Sector Integration" (e.g., models combining pets with social networking, cultural tourism, etc.); "Pets x Frontier Technology" (e.g., smart pet products, AI companions); and "Pets x Social Welfare" (integrating pet-related philanthropy with commercial ventures).
Unrestricted Startup: If you have identified unmet needs in your daily life, or if you possess innovative ideas that could make the world a better place, CBPA encourages students with a spirit of curiosity and exploration to engage in cross-disciplinary thinking, identify real-world problems, and leverage their youthful imagination to propose valuable business solutions.
*Exclusively for students in the S-Classic category.
